nOink FAQBelow is a list of commonly asked questions about the nOink system and answers form the nOink team:
To create an account on nOink, simply click here. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You will be asked to supply your name, address telephone number and email address for multi factor authentication.
By signing up for an account you are creating a private circle for you and your family (up to a maximum of 10 people). You will be the administrator for this circle and can add up to 9 other members.
Adding a mobile phone number to your account helps keep your account secure, makes it easier to regain access to your account if you have trouble logging in. We will never divulge your number to any third party and will only call you as a last resort to keep your account secure.
nOink does not hand off any part of our system security or user onboarding to third parties. Our approach may appear old fashioned, but we want our nOink users to take the privacy of their health data seriously.
Having a strong password greatly improves computer security. Good pratcice involves:
- Make sure that it's at least 6 characters long
- Try to use a complex combination of numbers & letters
- Use non alphanumeric characters if possible
- Avoiding common words and dates
- If you see a message suggesting the password you entered isn’t strong enough, try mixing together uppercase and lowercase letters
- Your nOink password should be different to other passwords you use with other systems
This is our first defence against the creation of fake accounts and step one of our KYC (know your customer) procedures. A real email account is also a necessity in certain account actions (such as user initiated password resets) and is part of our multi-factor authentication process.
We maintain a blacklist of known disposable email providers and reject sign up using these email addresses. If you think your email address was blocked in error please let us know by emailing us at email@example.com.
If you believe your account has been hacked please inform us immediately on firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll walk you through the account reset procedure.
The nOink platform takes security very seriously and actively defends itself against known attack methods. If you were kicked out of the nOink system you may have accidentally done something the system sees as suspicious.
This activity is logged and your circle administrator notified. Repeated attacks by a particular account will cause it to shut down. We take this cautious stance to protect all our users and the platform.
At nOink we believe there is no such thing as a "free" service. We are particularly passionate about leveraging the power of the internet to improve health.
For nOink to develop these tools to enable you to leverage your data, we therefore charge a small fee to keep your data private and and continue re-investing in the technology we can offer.
Remember we do not sell your data, track your usage or consider you a pair of eyeballs to be harvested
We offer all our users a 1 month free trial period to try our nOink platform. That is why we do not ask for credit card details on signup. During the free trial period you get the full features and improvements as they occur right from the start.
At the end of your trial period you will be sent an email reminding you that your trial is coming to an end and to continue using our services you will need to sign up with on a paid subscription or your account will expire. Your new paid for subscription will be monthly and charged at the beginning of every month from the date your subscription commenced.
As nOink is available in many countries, prices may vary but as a general rule it is "about the price of a coffee per circle per week" - local equivalent of GBP10.00 plus tax per family circle per month.
